MacDOUGALL, Ted. Liverpool, York City, Bournemouth, Manchester United, West Ham United, Norwich City, Southampton, Bournemouth, Blackpool (1966-1980). Became the owner of sports shops in Bournemouth and a licensee of a public house near Romsey, Hampshire. Emigrated to Vancouver, Canada with his French/Canadian wife, where he has become a wealthy property developer returned to England for a spell as Portsmouth's reserve team coach moved to the USA where he worked with San Jose Earthquakes and the United States Air Force Academy now lives in Atlanta, USA and was Director of Youth with the Atlanta Silverbacks, before setting up his own club Atlanta Spurs with former Notts Co pro Paul Smith.

MAGILTON, Jim. Liverpool, Oxford United, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town (1988-2006) Magilton was manager of Ipswich Town between 2006 and 2009. He then briefly had a short stint in charge of Queens Park Rangers.

MARSH, Mike. Liverpool, West Ham United, Coventry City, Galatasaray, Southend United, Southport, Barrow, Kidderminster Harriers, Boston United, Accrington Stanley (1987-2003) Since retirement, Marsh has served on the coaching staff of Northwich Victoria (where he later became manager) and Bradford Park Avenue, as well as managing Burscough and Northwich Victoria. He is currently the the U16 coach at Liverpool, as well as being the head academy coach of the Accrington & Rossendale College. He also plays for the Liverpool masters team.

MASON, Stuart. Wrexham, Liverpool, Chester City, Rochdale, Crewe Alexandra. (1965-1977) Owned his own sports shop in Wrexham, had a spell as assistant commercial manager at Wrexham before coaching at Chester's Centre of Excellence. Died in February 2006 aged 57.

MATTEO, Dominic. Liverpool, Sunderland, Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City (1992-2009) Matteo retired in 2009, and has since been studying for his UEFA coaching badges.

McALLISTER, Gary. Motherwell, Leicester City, Leeds United, Coventry City, Liverpool, Tadcaster Albion (1981-2010) McAllister was appointed player-manager of Coventry City in 2002, but resigned a year later to care for his ill wife. After nearly 4 years out of the game he was appointed manager of Leeds United in January 2008. He was sacked 11 months later, and in 2010 he signed a short term contract to return as a player for non-league Tadcaster Albion.

McATEER, Jaso.n Marine, Bolton Wanderers, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, Tranmere Rovers (1991-2007) McAteer briefly worked as assistant manager of Tranmere Rovers under John Barnes, however the pair were sacked after 11 matches. Jason currently works as a television football pundit for Asia based ESPN Star Sports.

McDERMOTT, Terry. Bury, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Newcastle United. (1969-1983). An England international won almost every honour in the game and became Kevin Keegan's side kick at Newcastle for two spells, has been assistant manager of Huddersfield since December 2008.

McDONALD, Ian. Barrow, Workington Town, Liverpool, Colchester United, Mansfield Town, York City, Aldershot, (1970-1988). Managed Aldershot, became reserve team coach at Millwall then moved onto Kingstonian and Farnborough Town as manager.

McDONALD, Kevin. Leicester City, Liverpool, Leicester City, Rangers, Coventry City, Cardiff City, Walsall, (1980-1993). A well polished midfield player who was appointed joint youth team coach at Leicester City until early 1995 when he followed Brian Little to Aston Villa to take up a similar post is still at Villa Park but is now coaching the reserves.

McGARVEY, Frank. Liverpool (1979-1980) Only spent 10 months at Anfield before returning to Scotland overcame gambling problems and is now working as a joiner in the building trade.

McGREGOR, John. Queens Park, Liverpool, Leeds, Rangers (1979-1988) Failed to make the grade South of the Border became reserve team coach as Ibrox until 2003.

McMAHON, Steve. Everton, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City, Swindon Town, (1979-1998). A tough tackling midfield star managed Swindon, Blackpool and Perth Glory, has since worked as a pundit for ESPN Star Sports in the Far East and served on the board of the Profitable Group

McMANAMAN, Steve. Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City (1989-2005) As well as playing in charity matches and for the Liverpool masters team, McManaman has worked as a television football pundit since his retirement in 2005. He also owns several race horses with former team mate Robbie Fowler, and has stated his intentions to move into football management.

MELIA, Jimmy. Liverpool, Wolves, Southampton, Aldershot, Crewe (1955-1971) Is probably better known as the manager who took Brighton to the FA Cup final in 1983. Now coaches youth teams for Liverpool FC America in The Colony, Texas.

MILNE, Gordon. Preston, Liverpool, Blackpool (1956-1969). Managed Wigan, Coventry and Leicester City, and in Turkey and Japan took over as Chief Executive of the League Managers Association, spent five years at Newcastle as Director of Football before returning to Turkey in 2006.

MOLBY, Jan. Liverpool, Barnsley, Norwich City, Swansea City.(1984-1996) Danish International has managed Kidderminster (twice), Hull and Swansea, now works as a television pundit in Denmark has also done some work on BBC radio has also played in several poker events.

MONEY, Richard. Scunthorpe United, Fulham, Liverpool, Derby County, Luton Town, Portsmouth, Scunthorpe United. (1973-1989). Managed Scunthorpe and Walsall, coached at Aston Villa and been Newcastle's Academy Director and since October 2009 manager of Luton.

MORAN, Ronnie. Liverpool (1952-1964). Spent 46 years at Anfield playing and coaching in the legendary boot room twice acted as caretaker manager before retiring in 1998.

MORRISSEY, Johnny. Liverpool, Everton, Oldham Athletic. (1957-1972). Played for both Liverpool clubs, retained his base on Merseyside and is now a successful businessman mainly with property interests.
