The Steven Gerrard Foundation

WHO ARE WE

Steven Gerrard set up the Steven Gerrard Foundation (SGF) in February 2011.

Steven Gerrard has spent the majority of his life in Liverpool and seen many of the issues faced by children. The Steven Gerrard Foundation enables Steven to make a lasting difference to children.

AIM

To generate as much money as possible to provide additional funding for a range of children's charitable organisations and projects. Fairbridge and the Children's Hospice, Claire House, are two of the first projects chosen to be supported by SGF.

SGF is supported by the Consortium for Street Children whose expertise will ensure the Foundation is managed effectively, guaranteeing that the money raised will make a real difference to the lives of children across a range of deserving charities.

THE FOCUS

To provide relief to children and young people in need, whether through illness, family breakdown, disability, involvement in the streets, financial or educational disadvantage.

Whilst operating both in the UK and worldwide, SGF will have particular focus in Stevens' home town of Liverpool.

IS SGF A SPORTS CHARITY

No – though some grants may be allocated to projects which help disadvantaged children through sport.
