Neco Williams Bio
Neco Williams' breakthrough season at senior level ended with a Premier League winner's medal.
An Academy graduate who has been with Liverpool since U9 level, the right-back made 11 first-team appearances in 2019-20.
Six of those came in the top flight as Jürgen Klopp's side dominated the division and amassed a club-record 99 points.
Williams was also part of the Reds squad that lifted the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar in December 2019 after beating CF Monterrey and Flamengo.
His first-team debut had come two months prior, against Arsenal in a League Cup fourth-round tie at Anfield, and Williams rose to the occasion.
A promising showing was capped off by a memorable assist at the Kop end for Divock Origi to make it 5-5 on the night as Liverpool progressed via penalties.
The converted attacking midfielder's speedy rise through the Academy ranks included being part of the Reds' 2018-19 FA Youth Cup winners.
Williams was successful from the spot as Liverpool claimed the trophy by defeating Manchester City in a penalty shootout in the final.
